You book the person, not the salon

Five stylists with genuinely different specialties. Each keeps their own calendar, their own working days and their own list of services — so the person you pick is the person who cuts your hair.

Nadia Reyes, Creative Director at Woodside Hair Style Salon
Fashion & Editorial

Nadia Reyes

Nadia opened the salon after fifteen years working backstage at New York Fashion Week, where she learned to build a look that survives a runway, a photo shoot and the walk home. She cuts shape first — the sculptural bobs, blunt fringes and lived-in layers the salon is known for.

She still takes a small number of editorial and press bookings each season, and brings what she learns back to the chair. If you arrive with a magazine tear, she will tell you honestly whether it will work on your hair — and what will.

Marisol Duarte, Bridal & Events Director at Woodside Hair Style Salon
Bridal & Special Events

Marisol Duarte

Marisol has styled more than four hundred weddings across Queens, Manhattan and Long Island. She runs the salon's private bridal suite, works from a trial that pins down every detail months ahead, and travels to the venue when the morning calls for it.

Her specialty is hair that photographs beautifully at nine in the morning and still holds at midnight — through a first look, a ceremony, a photo session in the wind, and four hours of dancing.

Priya Raman, Color Director at Woodside Hair Style Salon
Color, Balayage & Blonding

Priya Raman

Priya is the salon's colorist and the person other stylists send their hardest corrections to. She paints balayage freehand, builds blondes over several sessions rather than forcing them in one, and will tell you honestly when a color will cost more upkeep than you want.

Every new color client starts with a free consultation: a strand test, a written quote, and a plain-language plan covering how long it takes, what it costs and how often you will need to come back.

Dominic Ferraro, Master Barber at Woodside Hair Style Salon
Men's Cutting & Grooming

Dominic Ferraro

Dominic trained in a traditional barbershop on Northern Boulevard and brought the precision with him: scissor-over-comb, sharp line-ups, and skin fades that grow out cleanly instead of falling apart in two weeks.

He handles the salon's men's work and most of the boys' cuts, and keeps a standing eleven-o'clock chair free on Saturdays for the people who did not plan ahead.

Kayla Nguyen, Kids & Family Stylist at Woodside Hair Style Salon
Children's Cuts

Kayla Nguyen

Kayla runs the kids' corner, where the chairs are small, the cape has dinosaurs on it and nobody is rushed. She has a real gift for a first haircut — the one that decides whether a child spends the next decade dreading the chair.

She cuts for plenty of the parents too, usually in the same appointment, which is the single most popular thing we do on a Saturday morning.

Questions we get asked

Can I book a specific stylist?
Yes — that is how the whole system is built. Each stylist has their own calendar, their own working days and their own list of services, and you choose the person when you book.
What if my stylist is fully booked?
Choose your service first and the calendar will show every stylist who offers it, with their earliest free time. If you would rather wait for a specific person, their calendar is open around seventy-five days ahead.
Do different stylists charge different prices?
No. The price is the price of the service, whoever does it.
What languages do you speak?
Between the five stylists: English, Tagalog, Spanish, Hindi, Tamil, Italian, Vietnamese.
