What we collect

When you book an appointment we ask for your full name, phone number and email address. These are the minimum needed to hold a chair for you, reach you if something changes, and send you the confirmation and reminder emails. You may also add a note about what you want done, which goes to your stylist.

We also record the appointment itself — the date, time, service and stylist — and the IP address the booking came from, which is used only for rate-limiting and abuse prevention.

Why we keep it

• To run the appointment. Confirmations, reminders, and letting you cancel from a link.
• To keep a client history. So your stylist can see what was done last time, which colour formula was used, and what you said about it.
• To send you news, only if you asked. The marketing box on the booking form is unticked by default. Tick it and your stylist may send occasional salon news and a note when it is roughly time for your next appointment.

Marketing and rebooking reminders

These are separate from appointment emails. Appointment confirmations and day-before reminders go to everyone who books, because they are part of the service you asked for. Marketing and rebooking reminders only go to people who ticked the box, are sent on a schedule the stylist sets — every 7, 15, 20 or 30 days — and every single one carries a one-click unsubscribe link that works immediately and permanently.

Who else sees it

Your booking is visible to the stylist you booked with and to the salon manager. Other stylists do not see it. Nothing is sold, and nothing is shared with advertisers. Email is delivered through our hosting provider's mail server; that is the only third party involved.

Cookies

The public website sets no cookies and runs no analytics or advertising scripts. The staff admin area sets a single session cookie so stylists can stay signed in; it is removed when they sign out.

How long we keep it

Appointment records are kept while you remain a client and for a reasonable period afterwards, so that a stylist can look up an old colour formula. You may ask us to delete your record at any time and we will do it.

Your choices

• Unsubscribe from marketing using the link in any marketing email.
• Cancel an upcoming appointment using the link in any booking email.
• Ask for a copy of what we hold, or ask us to delete it, by emailing hairsalon@bestdealwebdesign.com.
